Nix Property Tax

Hoosiers are being taxed out of homes they already own. Paul will fight to cut property taxes and keep Indiana families in their homes.

A Letter to District 32

Paul Nix, candidate for Indiana House District 32

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

My wife Ann and I moved to Indianapolis from Fort Wayne in 1987, when I was promoted to Branch Manager of the Indianapolis office of Globe Life and United American Insurance. We rented a house on the East Side for four years.

We moved into a new home in Fishers in November 1990, since it was twenty minutes closer to see Mom and the kids were at Heritage Christian School. Fishers was a sleepy small town of 7,600 back then. We raised our children here, and they are all in Hamilton County but one in Indianapolis and one in Virginia.

The NIX Party of 38 still gathers at the homestead for holidays and such: seven children, six daughters in law, one son in law, and twenty-two grandchildren. My oldest son bought a home that touches our backyard, and we love that our yard borders the Nickel Plate Trail, which we enjoy so much. My oldest grandson, a Fishers High School grad and an Indiana Wesleyan student, just got engaged, so a promotion to Great Grandfather appears possible somewhere on the horizon.

My business, NIXGROUP, Inc. Retirement Solutions, is focused on folks who are on or aging into Medicare. Medigap, Advantage Plans, Part D, Long Term Care, Annuities, and Final Expense Life Insurance are the matters I work with, and as an independent I represent all the major carriers in those markets. I was 29 when I began working exclusively in the Medicare market, and now, at age 70, I have become one of us myself five years ago.

I always thought I would join the Army after high school, but we were pulling out of Vietnam and I fell for this girl named Ann. We decided we wanted to get married and have a house full of kids, and we figured it all out along the way. When our youngest son moved out I told Ann, "we should have had more kids." Ah, but that is what grandkids are for. I have often thought that if we had a Medicare Squad I would enlist, and perhaps State Representative is the next best thing for me. It makes me wonder what things would be like if you had to be a Grandfather or Grandmother in order to run for office. We would not need term limits, and most decisions would be made for the benefit of our grandchildren.

Faith, family, and Hoosier roots

I ask you to VOTE for Paul Nix for State Representative, District 32. No Hoosier should EVER be evicted from a home they own because they cannot pay the property taxes, and Indiana should not be leading the nation in mortgage foreclosures.

Reporting for duty,

Paul G. Nix

Where Paul Stands

Check the box for Indiana values

We live in the greatest nation on the face of the earth, and Indiana is fiscally sound: a balanced budget, fully funded pensions, and great schools. But two things need immediate attention, and property taxes are the culprit in both. Every position here is one Paul will fight for in the Statehouse.

Fiscal Responsibility

Indiana runs a balanced budget, and Paul intends to keep it that way. He will guard taxpayer dollars, hold the line on spending, and find real savings in programs like Medicaid and Medicare without cutting the quality of care Hoosiers depend on.

Parental Rights in Education

Parents, not the government, should have the final say in what their children are taught. Paul opposes CRT, DEI, and gender ideology in Indiana schools, and opposes letting male athletes compete in girls' sports.

Constitutional Rights

Paul defends Indiana's Constitutional Carry law and believes state government should never interfere with the rights the Constitution guarantees: the free exercise of religion, peaceable assembly, and free speech.

Protecting the Unborn

Paul opposes taxpayer funding of abortion and believes Indiana can and should do more to protect the unborn and support families.
